Michael Sarafian has been a member of St. Hagop Armenian Church since birth. Michael has represented his parish over the years on a national level by attending multiple Chapter Workshops and General Assembly & Sports Weekends. Additionally, he has attended sessions at St. Nersess Armenian Seminary Summer Conferences. He was also humbly selected to embark on the 2017 Young Adult Pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Most recently, he attended the 2022 ACYOA Mission Trip and 2022 National Lenten Retreat. Michael feels honored to serve on the Central Council to help bring Armenian youth together.
Michael graduated with dual degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology in 3 years with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of South Florida. Following his excitement for finance, he became a Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. He worked previously at Morgan Stanley and currently has his own practice at Lincoln Investment. His skills and passions include understanding financial markets, financial planning, going to the gym, managing his rentals, and playing chess. His mother Tanya has served the church in many leadership roles including serving on Parish Council, Auditing Committee, and as a Sunday School teacher. Similarly, his grandfather Hagop has served as ArchDeacon for over 40 years in Istanbul, Turkey - where Michael’s family originates from. Following his grandfather, Michael has been serving on the altar at St. Hagop for over 15 years and was recently ordained a Subdeacon.
