We are excited to ring in the ACYOA’s 75+1 Anniversary with the 2022 ACYOA Bishop’s 5k on Saturday, September 17 at 9am ET at St. Leon Armenian Church, with the blessing of our Primate, Very Rev. Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan. With options to participate in-person or remotely anytime through September 17, the 5K is open to ALL ages and abilities, so join us as we walk, jog and run down memory lane with generations of ACYOA alumni! Those participating in the 5K remotely can upload their times to the Bishop's 5K website

On site of this year's 5K, we will be hosting a sneaker drive, but should you not be able to physically participate, we are accepting donations in place of a registration. Participants are asked to bring new or lightly used sneakers for the sneaker drive, which will be donated to youth in Armenia, supporting Hoops4Hayastan's mission of providing opportunities for children through basketball. All other proceeds from the 5K will go toward developing future ACYOA programs and ministries, such as the ACYOA Mission Trip, Retreats and more.

The ACYOA held its 3rd Annual Bishop's 5K on September 18, 2021 at St. Leon in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and on October 2, 2021 at St. John in Southfield, Michigan. Bishop Daniel Findikyan had the opportunity to walk and talk with his flock at the 5K in Souhtfield, recording a 5K time of 47 minutes and 11 seconds. The ACYOA thanks all donors and participants who joined us in this ministry at St. John, St. Leon and virtually all across the country!

As Primate of the Eastern Diocese, His Grace Bishop Daniel Findikyan envisioned the Bishop's 5K as a way to promote physical and spiritual health. All proceeds from the Bishop's 5K go towards the development of future ACYOA programs and ministries. The inaugural ACYOA Bishop's 5K in Summer 2019 - held in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Illinois - fully funded the 2020 ACYOA Mission Trip - sending over 20 young adults to Atlanta in February to help construct a house through Habitat for Humanity, as well as connect with the Armenian Mission Parish of Atlanta. In 2020, the 2nd Annual 5K - held virtually - raised over $13,000 for humanitarian relief efforts for the Republic of Artsakh.
